The Los Angeles/Ventura Counties Chapter (BIA/LAV) has an opening for a Member Services Manager located in Santa Clarita, CA. This sales-oriented position serves as the primary contact for members and organizes networking and educational events for the association. The position also manages the office.
Membership & Member Services
• Provide full staff support to the Membership Committee. The membership committee identifies prospective members, welcomes and serves as ambassadors for new members, plans member appreciation nights/orientations, and strives to increase member participation in BIA/LAV. • Prepare reports for membership committee meetings • Track committee progress in making welcome calls and facilitating ambassador program • Support membership sales staff in identifying potential members and provide follow-up support as needed • Contact and provide orientation to new members affiliated with LAV Chapter • Participate in regional membership drives • Make contact with member companies to discuss opportunities for them to get involved with BIA/LAV; make contact with each member company at least once per year.
Events & Programs
• In advance of each event, prepare a preliminary budget based on anticipated income and expenses and submit to CEO • Ensure all legal (e.g., contracts, insurance) and logistical arrangements are made for each event • Develop associated collateral for events • Establish marketing/communication plan (e.g., e-blast schedule, mailings, faxes) for each event • Establish and staff event-related committees (PASS, golf, installation) • Secure registrations and sponsorships for events; track in BuilderFusion and process payments • Serve as contact with event facilities for proper set-up and execution of event within budget • Prepare programs and other handouts/materials for events and associated event program (e.g., silent auctions, raffles, PASS directories, etc) • Prepare name tags and registration information prior to events • Set-up and manage registration and event logistics on the day of the event; ensure proper break-down of the event • Complete final event budget and associated documentation within 5 days of the event
Sponsorships, Marketing and Other Duties
• Market sponsorship opportunities to members for the annual sponsorship program and individual events (e.g., golf tournament) • Manage the sign program and work with sign vendor to expand the program • Maintain the BIALAV Office so that a professional appearance is conveyed. Ensure adequate inventory of office supplies and BIALAV materials. • Assist in preparation for meetings: Committee, Board, and Executive Committee • Attend Board of Directors meetings and other membership meetings • Collect payments for sponsorships and events • Other duties as assigned
